CT birding

Welcome! This is my first post, so I just want to overview what I’ll be writing about.

I will try to log my field adventures, whether they be about birding trips or my work and classes in the Earthplace junior staff. I am not an expert photographer, but occasionally I will get a good shot!

I mostly bird with my dad, Sean Murtha, but I know a lot of other great birders, and some of my biggest adventures are with them. Some of my most frequently birded places are Hammonasset State Park, Sherwood Island State Park, and Milford point, but I try to get around as much as I can.

Besides birding I like hiking, kayaking, and writing, and these activities can certainly bring me to some great places. I am also greatly interested in all sorts of sciences, and at the moment mostly herpetology and botany.

I hope you enjoy catching the thermals. I am a new blogger, but I certainly have a lot to say!
