Cape May coming up…

Dad just booked us for our annual Cape May birding trip.  This time were going for 3 days on Labor Day weekend.  This is the earliest I’ve ever gone in the fall migration period, and I think it will be better for shorebirds and fall warbs.  We are going to bring the Kayaks down and on one of those days kayak the extensive jersey marshes around Jakes Landing and Tuckerton.  I love Cape May during fall Migration- last year at Higbee beach we found an adult Northern Goshawk out in the dunes, at the same time we were looking at a bunch of Royal terns over the water.  Another- “only in cape may”  sort of sighting.  I’m looking forward to it!
