A New Lens for Nemo

There’s nothing better than a fresh snowfall, and here in CT we had quite a show of it.  I’m in Norwalk, CT, which is the in the far SW of the state, so we got a lot less snow than the rest of the state during Nemo. In fact, Fairfield, a town in my county amazingly, got one of the highest snowfalls in the tri-state area- 35 Inches!  Just 15 minutes from me and double the amount of snow.  Either way, It’s still the most snow we’ve ever gotten here in my lifetime.

During the course of the storm yesterday my new lens arrived (Thank you hardy postal service), and this morning was my first chance to test it out at the feeders.  I love it, and since my old lens has been out of commission for a while, its a HUGE improvement on my photography.  Here are my first images with it, and there will be more to come!

White-throated Sparrow

Song sparrow

House Finch

Tufted Titmouse

White-breasted Nuthatch

Red-bellied Woodpecker

I’m gonna go out later today, and test it out in the field!  I can’t wait!
